Molly Huddle has been on a roll this Fall. Winning the US 20k in New Haven (Sept. 7), then, the USA 5k in Providence (Sept. 21), and now the USA 10 mile title.

ST PAUL (USA, Oct 4): Molly Huddle and Sam Chelanga were the victors at the Medtronic TC 10 mile road race, which incorporated the USATF Championships. In an impressive solo effort, Huddle set a course record of 51:44 to win by a big margin over Neely Spence (53:03) and Alexi Pappas (53:10). The previous course record was 53:16, set by Kara Goucher in 2008. US cross country champion Laura Thweatt was fourth across the line in 53:14. The men’s race was won by Chelanga with a late surge to beat Tyler Pennel, 46:47 to 46:48. It is Chelanga’s first US title since his change of citizenship. He was 8 seconds off the course record. Dathan Ritzenhein had lost contact with the two with less than one mile to go and placed third in 46:53.
