Christian Taylor, gold medalist, Triple Jump, photo by PhotoRun.net
Christian Taylor made history last night. On his last jump, Christian Taylor made the most of it and leaped 18.21 meters, or 59 feet, 9 inches. The second longest triple jump of all times! (Pretty fun to think that I have the numeros 1-5 triple jumps of all times).
Taylor has been building for this. You have to give Christian Taylor and his coach, Rana Reider, credit! Here is the video of his competition, and an interview with Lewis Johnson, courtesy of Universal Sports.
And for those who did not see the American record jump, here is the link! http://universalsports.com/
