The highlights of the World Relays in 2014 was the battle between the Bahamas and US over 4x 400 meters. This was a grudge match. The Bahamas had kicked US butt in London and the teams were here to settle the score.
The race lived up to the hype (as it did in 2015 as well).
This interview was fun. The IAAF allowed me to get in two questions, one to Chris Brown on if he had been focusing on this race with the US all year. Then, I asked Usain, if he was excited to run in the 4×200 meters or 4×100 meters more? In the end, Usain did not run the 4×200 meters. Usain was beat in the 4×100 meters, another relay race in Beijing will be his focus…
In the 4×400 meters, Chris Brown made one huge, titanic move to get LaShawn Merritt, and the crowd went home, satisfied that the 4×4 from the little country of the Bahamas took the USA to the wire.
