NAIROBI (KEN): Wilson Kipsang has said that the cold conditions in London prevented him from beating Eliud Kipchoge to the marathon finish line, report Capital FM. “Since I have less fat, it was not easy to resist such a pace in such conditions, considering I also did a lot of work to break from the group,” said the former world record holder. Dennis Kimetto said that the reason he didn’t perform better was due to an injured knee, “At 39K I felt my pain in my injured knee and pushed back but I didn’t expect Kipchoge to win. I thought I would win.” Kipsang hopes to be included in the Kenyan team for this year’s world championships. Eliud Kipchoge thinks more about fast race in Berlin in September and Olympic marathon participation next year.
