This was the last event of the XX Commonwealth Games. The men’s 4×100 meter relay was a most anticipated event, and, it lived up to it’s hype.
With great handoffs from the English team, England was still in it when Usain Bolt got the baton. But, not for long. Usain Bolt took about three strides and he was in his own universe as England and Trindidad & Tobago battled for silver and bronze.
Jamaica ran 37.58 WL and Games record, to the absolute delight of the 44,000 in Hampden Park. England ran 38.02 and Trinidad & Tobago ran 38.10.
Afterwards, Usain Bolt and his team hammed it up and had some fun, doing selfies, dancing a bit and just being Usain.
In that moment, Usain Bolt, as he does, owned the hearts and minds of 44,000 sport fans.
