Three under 10, Blake injured
GLASGOW (GBR, Jul 11): First day of Glasgow Grand Prix (IAAF Diamond League) saw in good weather one meet record in women 1500 m, European leading marks in women 400 m hurdles and long jump and dramatic 100 m with three sub 10 results with Yohan Blake injury. As Friday also on Saturday there will be 8 Diamond League events and six others.

Men
100 m: Very close Ashmeade 9.97 (+0.3) after dq in Paris over Rodgers 9.97, Carter 9.98, all season fastest. Dasaolu again 10.03 and Collins getting again better 10.07. Overall fourth fastest for Bailey-Cole 10.03 (+1.4) in B-race. Blake did not finish due to hamstring injury.
200 m (non-DL): Edward another top win 20.25 (-0.7) over Weir 20.30.
5000 m: Ethiopians ruled this time, Gebrhiwot 13:11.09 (53 last lap) over Alamirew, Soi third as best Kenyan.
110mH (non-DL): World leader and World medalists beaten. Sharman won and equaled his PB 13.21 over Porter 13.27.
400mH: Culson clearly 48.35, Eaton beats Tinsley in 48.69 PB for second.
HJ (non-DL): Theiner as only one cleared 228 and won.
PV (non-DL): Also here Polish win, Wojciechowski on count-back over Lisek, both 567.
SP: Hoffa was better 21.67 then injured Storl 21.38, third Walsh New Zeland record 21.23 over WL holder Kovacs 20.94.

400 m: McCorory with fast last 100 m dominated 49.93, Sanya beats again Novlene 50.39 to 50.60.
1500 m: In direct duel face to face Hassan beats Aregawi 4:00.67 MR to 4:00.94. Obiri 8th.
400mH (non-DL): Scottish win for Child in European lead 54.39.
LJ: Great depth, WL holder Bartoletta 698 (+1.2) over Johnson-Thompson 692 (+0.6) PB and equaled EL of Lesueur. Third Proctor best of summer 682 (+1.2).
DT: Second loss in two years for Perkovic (best again in last round 66.30). US Gia Lewis-Smallwood PB 67.59, 3rd best US ever.
4×100 m (non-DL): GBR with season fastest 42.74, will attack the podium at European Champs. Not to speak about the Games here.
