ASICS AMERICA GROUP SEES DOUBLE DIGIT GROWTH IN THE FISCAL YEAR OF 2013 |
ASICS America Group, which includes the United States, Brazil, Canada and Mexico, is pleased to announce another growth year of revenues for the financial results in the fiscal year of 2013, 12 months from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2013. Net Sales increased by 15.9 percent, compared to the same period in 2012, while operating profit and net income before taxes rose 35.4 percent and 41.7 percent, respectively. ASICS America net sales increase was higher coming in at 14.4 percent, compared to the same period in 2012, while operating income and net income before taxes had significant increases of 34.9 percent and 34.5 percent.
The award winning GEL-Nimbus® 15 and GEL-Cumulus® 15 footwear lead the growth for the performance running category experiencing high double digit increase of 15.4 percent, compared to 2012. Additional growth in fast rising categories such as tennis and Onitsuka Tiger played compelling parts in ASICS America Group financial progress in Q4 2013. ASICS America Group achieved double digit growth in 2013 and is on pace to show another strong growth in 2014.
