Mizuno Wave Paradox Named Best Motion Stabilizing Shoe in Fortius Media Group, LLC, 2014 Spring Shoe Review
SAN JOSE, CA – Top honors in the motion stabilizing category of the Fortius Media Group, LLC, 2014 Spring Shoe Review went to the Mizuno Wave Paradox.
“Runners are very lucky. There is very little equipment that is needed. For the past two decades, the partners of Fortius Media Group have relied on Cregg Weinmann, the runningproductreviews.com footwear reviewer, and his team, to suggest the finest running footwear available. Our reviews are now available daily, via social media, on digital and in print. The Spring and Fall Shoe Reviews have always been our largest, although Cregg reviews on a monthly basis around the year. As always, we suggest that the five million runners and walkers who read our reviews make their purchases in their local running store. Read globally, buy locally is our mantra,” noted Larry Eder, the publishing director of the Fortius Media Group, LLC.
Shoes being reviewed are matched to the footstrike, shape and motion of hundreds of wear testers. Wear testers run 100 miles in the shoes and report periodically on seven key performance characteristics. Category winners are decided using a software system that calculates tester data. The software system was developed by Cregg Weinmann, the Fortius Media Group’s footwear reviewer.
“There is nearly a perfect shoe available for everyone, if you take the time to understand your footstrike and running needs, do the research and consult with your local running store,” said Weinmann.
The Wave Paradox is Mizuno’s premier motion stabilizing shoe. A closed mesh upper with a covering of rubbery TPU overlays provides support while reducing weight and providing a smooth interior. The midsole provides responsive cushioning and stability with U4ic polyolephin foam surrounding Mizuno’s asymmetrical Wave plate that extends and connects to an articulate forefoot plate. The outersole has a full-contact bottom design with X-10 carbon rubber and a blown rubber forefoot. Combining performance, technology and support the Wave Paradox earned the award for best motion stabilizing shoe (Weinmann 2014).
“I like the way Mizunos feel. These have a great fit, a snappy feel and they were really stable,” said one wear tester when describing the Wave Paradox.
