Haile Gebrselassie is, well, at least 40 ( I believe that he is 43). That the little Emperor can run 61:09 and that is totally impressive! Haile still loves to run! He is a crowd pleaser where ever he goes and he is a true brand asset for adidas.
HAILE FASTEST HM IN SCOTLAND
GLASGOW (GBR, Oct 6): Legendary Haile Gebrselassie won the Great Scottish Run when clocking 1:01:09 course record at the half marathon distance. He was followed by Kenyan Emmanuel Bett 1:01:40. Then Spanish Ayad Lamdassem followed in 1:01:59 and fourth another Spanish runner and track European champion Jesus Espana who debuted in 1:04:01 over British star Chris Thompson 1:04:49. Three Scots finished in the first four of the women’s race, informs the BBC. Susan Partridge won in 1:10:40 over Freya Ross 1:11:51.Olympian Katherine Grainger set the 23,000 runners under way from George Square in the city centre.
