VLASIC NOT SURE ABOUT INDOORS
CARLOW (IRL): Blanka Vlasic says that she is “really happy” with her current progress in overcoming the injury that kept her out of the 2013 IAAF World Championships and that she believes she is on the “right track” towards performing at the 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Sopot, informs the IAAF. The 2 time World Indoor high jump champion says, however, that she will not rush a comeback and will only compete if she is 100% healthy and jumping well. She acknowledges that she “probably did more damage than good” physically, by jumping in the 2013 season. However, she believes that she has gained mental strength from her ordeals. She is currently in Carlow, Ireland receiving treatment on her left heel; consisting of shockwave therapy three times a day, general conditioning work and exercises using flexibands.
