Brianne Theisen and Ashton Eaton are getting married this weekend. Brianne is one of the top Canadian heptathletes and Ashton is the World record holder in the decathlon. Two of the nicest people one would ever want to meet. The following story, from Lori Ewing of the Canadian Press, ran in Canadian media on Friday.
We wish Brianne and Ashton the very best day and look forward to seeing them both in Moscow, Russia for the World Championships. We hope you enjoy the pictures above, from a wonderful week meeting Aries Merritt, Ashton Eaton, Brianne Theisen and Galen Rupp and Mo Farah as the IAAF sponsored media tour traversed the USA.
Watch for features on Ashton and Brianne, as well as Aries and the Nike Oregon project in up coming issues of American Track & Field, Coaching Athletics Quarterly and on Runblogrun.com.
Here is link to complete story by Lori Ewing, of The Canadian Press as it appeared on the www.guardianandmail.com:
Note: One correction in the story, from Lori Ewing. The coach of Brianne Theisen and Ashton Eaton is Harry Marra.
