ASICS CORPORATION STRENGTHENS GLOBAL PRODUCT MARKETING AND DESIGN
ASICS Corporation announces the appointment of John Mollanger as Managing
Executive Officer and General Manager of Global Product Marketing Division.
He will also serve as the company’s Chief Creative Officer.
John Mollanger, 42, will join Asics Corporation on November 16th, 2012, with
the mission to clarify and develop Asics’s global product leadership. His
key objectives will be to accelerate and refine product innovation, design,
development and merchandising to achieve the company’s 2015 brand and
financial targets.
The newly established Global Product Marketing Division is organized by
Design Centers and Product Marketing / Merchandising teams, with
responsibility around both of the group’s brands, Asics and Onitsuka Tiger.
John’s previous experiences include Business Management, Product and
Creative roles at Puma AG in the USA and Germany (2002 – 2008) where he
served as a member of the Group Executive Committee; and Product and
Merchandising roles with Nike Inc. in France and the USA (1993 – 2002).
After leaving Puma in 2008, he founded premium motorsport brand Vitesse, as
well as strategic consulting office Vox Fabrica with missions including
sport, fashion and medical sectors.
Based at the company’s global headquarters in Kobe, Japan. John Mollanger
will report directly to Asics’s Corporation President & CEO, Motoi Oyama.
