One of the most amazing marathons that I have ever seen. Great races, real competition, and wonderful winners. Wilson Kipsang and Mary Keitany pushed themselves to great victories. Kipsang’s 2:04.44 was dominating, as he fought a tough field, breaking them after 35k. Mary Keitany’s win showed her ability to control what had been seen until then, as her impulsiveness. Her 2:18.37, run off a pretty conservative 1:10.53 half way split, was amazing to watch.
Now, the real story begins, as the Kenyan and Ethiopian selectors for the marathon teams will be hard at work.
