Why does everyone love Usain Bolt? Well, in Chasing Bolt, they try to answer that. The guy does have fun with most of the things that he does. And, he is immensely talented.
My partial theory is that he keeps sports fun, and that is part of what is missing, at times, from professional sports.
I can tell you from my personal experience, tryng to get into a media conference when Usain Bolt is there is pretty tough.
The fans love him. I watched him spend 40 minutes at DN Galan in Stockholm this past July, signing autographs and talking to kids in the mixed zone. Young sports fans love Usain Bolt.
