L-R: Angel, Hulst, Serna and Jon Cook
“With heavy heart I’m sending you the sad news of Jon Cook’s passing. He
passed away yesterday of ALS. He fought a good fight since the summer of
2010 and had a positive attitude through it all and to the end.
Many of you competed and trailed Jon in races as I did. Jon ran for
Mission Viejo HS and graduated in 1975 with PRs of 51.1, 1:52.9, 4:11.1,
9:27.0. Later he competed for Athletes In Action.
He was a good runner but more importantly he was a great human being.
I’ll pass on details of his services to all who are interested.”
