ASICS AMERICA REFINES SALES DEPARTMENT STRUCTURE; APPOINTS NEW VICE PRESIDENT, ADDS NEW REGIONAL MANAGER
ASICS America Corporation, the athletic products manufacturer, announced today changes to its sales department structure. Effective immediately, Tracy Paoletti has been promoted to Vice President of Sales with three regional managers reporting directly to her. Her team will consist of Mike Mitchell, Senior Regional Director, West, Patty Kelly, Regional Manager, East and Mike Jensen, Regional Manager, Central. These changes will further refine the new sales department structure that was implemented in April 2011 under the leadership of new ASICS America President and CEO Kevin Wulff.
Paoletti joined ASICS in January 2011 as a Senior National Sales Director for the East and Midwest regions and is now being promoted to Vice President of Sales. Paoletti has more than 20 years experience in the footwear business and will report directly to ASICS America President and CEO Kevin Wulff.
Mitchell will continue his role as Senior Regional Director for the West, which will include managing ASICS key account and specialty retailer business.
Kelly, who has worked for ASICS America for over four years, most recently as the Apparel Sales Manager, has earned a promotion as Regional Manager for the East.
New to the team, Mike Jensen will be the Regional Manager for the Central territory. Jensen has an extensive footwear background working at companies such as DC Shoes, Pony International and Converse.
“ASICS is poised to reach a billion dollars in sales by 2015,” says Paoletti. “The distribution of three distinct sales districts, West, Central and East, with three dynamic and talented executives leading each, will further enhance our sales efforts. Mike Jensen, with his excellent track record of establishing new markets and expertly leading others, is a great addition to the team and further solidifies our foundation.”
Anima Sana In Corpore Sano, meaning “A Sound Mind in a Sound Body,” is an old Latin phrase from which ASICS is derived and the fundamental platform on which the brand still stands. The company was founded more than 60 years ago by Kihachiro Onitsuka and is now a leading designer and manufacturer of running shoes, as well as, other athletic footwear, apparel and accessories.
