Alberto Salazar, the founder of the Oregon Project told writers at the TAFWA that his goal, in creating the project was to help American distance runners reach the top level. With Jerry Schumacher and Mark Rowland, both at the Oregon Track Club, Alberto has added onto what he can achieve.

He currently manages the content and marketing development of the RunningNetwork, The Shoe Addicts, and RunBlogRun.
