WORLD CLASS RELAYS EXPECTED
AUSTIN (USA): 84th Clyde Littlefield Texas
Relays will see many top athletes competing. Decathlon world champion Trey
Hardee is scheduled to do long jump on Friday and 110 m Hurdles on Saturday. He
is also entered for Thursday´s pole vault. Miler Leo Manzano should run the 800 m. In the men´s 4×400 m
already earlier announced were Tyson Gay and Jeremy Wariner. Their Adidas team
will be added by Lionel Larry and hurdler Michael Tinsley. Solid competition will
come from Hi Performance squad Angelo Taylor, Greg Nixon, Wallace Spearmon and
Calvin Smith. Sprint stars are expected to compete in the 4×100 m. Lauryn
Williams, Shalonda Solomon, Marshevet Myers and Bianca Knight will field a
women team in the invitational section while in the men’s invitational 4x100m
relay Wallace Spearmon, Darvis ‘Doc’ Patton, Trell Kimmons and Mike Rodgers
will put a squad together. Another team called Georgia Boys should have
hurdlers Terrence Trammell, Dexter Faulk, Angelo Taylor and long jump world
champion Dwight Phillips.
