All the geek stuff that is fit to print. Ken Nakamura’s info adds some color to the 2011 BAA Boston marathon. As we have said before, the marathon is a chess game over 26. 2 miles and anything can and will go wrong. Run well, it is a brilliant display of athleticism, and Boston and London within 24 hours, make this a very special weekend indeed! I am in Munich right now, in between flights, heading to London this afternoon, Friday, April 15. Looking forward to seeing two great races this weekend!

Boston is implementing three waves in 2011, each with just about 9,000 runners, and it is estimated that it will take 7 minutes or so for each wave to get across the starting line. Joan Benoit Samuelson is running on Monday and Bill Rodgers is the grand marshal this year!
