Here is the scary stuff from this video: ” This is the opening of my season..I wanted to
see where I was…I am still a 5k guy….I had cramps at four miles…this is a team effort,
hearing that Simon and Tim were behind me….Meb has proven to be one of the world’s
best runners, to run under 27 minutes, I was joking, I had no idea what fitness level
I was in..I feel pretty good, I have a blister on my foot…my whole theme for the past
two years was to put my head down and plug away…puts a different perspective, my
mission this season was to be the 5,000 meter American record…I will run the 5k
at Oslo, get the kinks out, mission is to go under 13 minutes on U.S. soil.. I never
chase times, I try to win races….our whole philosophy is to win races, the times will
come…we are doing a lot of strength work….2012 is 5k, 2016 is 10k, and 2020 is
the marathon!.”
