AUSTIN: Fast windy sprints and another 400 m improvement for world champion Tyson Gay were the higlights of Texas Twilight Meet. Tabarie Henry improved the national record of US Virgin Islands to 45.09 and won ahead of Lionel Larry (45.27). Third Tyson Gay bettered his earlier 46.34 from last weekend to 45.57 as third. Other sprinting world medallist Wallace Spearmon was only 8th (47.33) and second at 200 m (20.60, +1.6) beaten by Kelly Willie (20.45). In windy main section Brendan Christian of Antigua clocked 19.98 (+2.1) ahead of Jamaican Steve Mullings (20.14) and collegian Trey Harts (20.33). In windy 100 m Panamian Alonso Edward clocked 9.97 (+2.3) beating Steve Mullings (10.00), Mike Rodgers (10.01) and Brendan Christian (10.02). Barbados record holder Ryan Brathwaite got impressive 13.05 (+3.6) at 110 m Hurdles. In women sprints Lashauntea Moore clocked 11.21 (+1.9) and Tiffany Townsend 22.63 (+3.9). Jason Colwick cleared 570 in Pole Vault and world leader Andra Manson only 214 in High Jump.
