BERLIN (GER): European 3000m steeplechase champion Gesa Felicitas Krause has outlined her goals ahead of the 2019 season, informs Leichtathletik.de. “I want to improve my German record. That’s what I really wanted this year. And after finishing third at the 2015 World Championships, I want to be back on the podium in Doha. The fact is: I definitely have to run faster. I assume you have to run a time under 9:20 for the final. At the front there is currently a wide peak, which runs between 9:00-9:08. I think you have to be clever in a championship race, of course, but you have to be fast in order to be at the forefront,” she said. Krause added the late staging of the World Championships doesn’t bother her as she often ends her season in late September and she hopes to break the 9:10-barrier in 2019.
