Tuesday is a good hard day!
Galen Rupp is a 4 time Olympian (2008-10,000m, 2012-10,000m Olympic silver, 2016-Marathon-Olympic bronze, 2021-Marathon), who has had a long career in running. We first saw Galen as a sophomore in high school at the AAU Junior Olympic 5,000m. The next fall, i watched Galen compete in the Nike Border Clash, finishing third. In 2003, Galen Rupp came back and won the Nike Border Clash. In his senior year, Galen won his first NCAA title in cross country, out-Kicking Sam Chelanga!
Galen Rupp always gives credit to his experience in cross country as it helped build him for the roads, track and marathoning. Galen Rupp loves cross country!

Warm-up well,
30 minutes of moderate running, 8 x 400m hill, jog down, 8 x 200m hill, jog down, 8 x 100m hill, jog down,
Cooldown well, and remember to hydrate.
Check your shoes and make sure that your training shoes
are ready for 12-18 more weeks of training. (Most shoes make it 12-16 weeks of training)
If not, go to a local running store and find one or two pairs of good training shoes.

Frank Shorter won 4 AAU cross country titles, was on several US World Cross Country teams and won two Olympic medals, gold and silver in the Marathon (1972 and 1976). Frank Shorter set ARs from 2 miles indoor to the Marathon. He was a cross country animal.
