2. The opening of the Diamond League, which happened in Xiamen, China, on April 20, 2024. This is the first of two
meets in China in one week.
3. Mondo Duplanis set a WR in the pole vault, his eighth world record, clearing 6.24 meters or 20 feet, five and one-half inches.
4. Gudaf Tsegay ran a 3:50.30 for a world leader at 1,500 meters.
5. Christian Coleman ran 10.13 for the 100 meters.
6. Marco Arop ran 1:43.61 for the 800 meters in a very tight race.
7. Torrie Lewis won the women’s 200 meters in Xiamen, upsetting Sha’Carri Richardson with her 22.96 PB. Torrie is 19 years old.
