Warm up well, 45-55 minutes, moderate running, in a park, on a trail, with some friends, enjoy the time on the trails, cooldown well, and hydrate.
The first two weeks are about getting your moving on a daily basis.
Check your shoes, and make sure you have two pairs of shoes to train in, and alternate the shoes for runs.
Do not run in wet or soggy shoes.
