Asafa Powell for Boston
BOSTON (USA): Organisers of the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix have announced ten more major championship medallists for the meet which will be held on February 7. Former world 100m record holder Asafa Powell, Olympic pole vault champion Jenn Suhr and Diamond League champion Jenny Simpson have all been added to the second stop of the 2015 Indoor USATF Championship Series. Other distance stars added to the meet’s line-up include Ethiopia’s Dejen Gebremeskel, Kenya’s Sally Kipyego, Morocco’s Abdelaati Iguider, New Zealand’s Nick Willis and two US stars from different sides of the ever-stretching elite athlete age bracket; Mary Cain and Bernard Lagat. In the shot, there will be a domestic show down between World Indoor shot champion Ryan Whiting and Christian Cantwell. Top US jumpers Chaunte Lowe and Tianna Bartoletta will also be in action, as will Olympic sprinter Ryan Bailey.
