Athing Mu is the Olympic champion and World Champion at 800 meters. Who can defeat her over the 800 meters? And that, may not be her very best event! Her coach, Bobby Kersee, believes, that over the next few years, as she builds her strength and endurance, that she will be not only tough over the 800 meters but also the 1,500 meters!
On February 11, 2023, Athing Mu will venture over four laps indoors or 800 meters with a strong field. Athing Mu is one of the most talented athletes of her generation. Her leg speed makes her wonderfully tough over the 4×400 meters as well.
What will she do in Budapest in 2023 and Paris in 2024? We will just have to wait and see just how tough Athing can be! Athing has taken on all challengers and finds that extra bit of energy to take the win.
Athing Mu is so early in her career, that while the 800 meters is Athing’s focus, for now, watch her over the 400 meters, and the 1,500 meters in the coming years. This writer believes that her true talent is just beginning to reveal itself.
What will she do indoors this season? Just three more weeks until we see!
