This is RunBlogRun’s coverage of the last Men’s event on the Oregon 22 World Athletics Champs schedule on July 24, 2022, at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
The Men’s 4x400m was dominated by the U.S. team. With strong hand-offs and great range, the
The U.S. team put the gold medal out of the discussion.
Elija Goodwin opened up with 44.28. The second leg, run by Michael Norman, the 2022 WC gold
medalist at 400 meters, was run in 43.64, busting the race open.
Leg 3, run by Bryce Deadmon, put the gold totally out of the discussion with his brilliant 43.82.
On the anchor, Champion Allison, run in 44.33, brought the team home in WL of 2:56.17!
In silver position, Jamaica ran 2:58.58 (Akeem Bloomfield, 45.86, Nathan Allen, 43.95,
Jevaughn Powell, 44.79, and anchored by Christoper Taylor, 43.98).
The bronze medal was won by Belgium in 2:58.72.
The Belgian team was Dylan Borlee, 45.73, and Julien Watrin, 44.54, Alexander Doom, 44.67
and anchored by Kevin Borlee, 44.07.
