Garrett O’Toole has been developing over the past four years, under the watchful eye of his coach, Desiree Scheff. Earlier this season, Garrett ran a 3:45 for the 1,500 meters at the Princeton Invitational. Recently, Garrett ran a 1:50.15 800 meters. Great improvement from 4:10 and 1:54 last year.
At the Adrian Martinez Classic, on June 5, 2014, Garrett O’Toole made history, when he hit the 800 meters in 2:02, and then, negative splitted the last two laps, running a fine 4:01.86. His 4:01.86 gives him the fastest high school boy’s mile in New England!
I did this interview with Garrett O’Toole right after the race, on June 5. Garrett was still pretty hyped about his superb run! I hope you enjoy the interview.
