Topic: World Indoor Championships – Belgrade 2022
From March 18-20, 629 athletes from 120 countries competed in the Stark Arena in Belgrade, Serbia, in front of an enthused and educated.
Serbian crowd. World records in the Men’s pole vault, Women’s triple jump, and an equalling for the world record in the 60m hurdles were highlights.
On Saturday, ten finals had winners from ten countries as Ethiopia won more gold medals and silver medals, but the US won the most awards with 19.

For me, the moment was Yaroslava Mahuchikh, who traveled three days from her home in Dnipro, Ukraine, which was being bombed on Feb. 24.
Yaroslava missed twice at 2 meters, then cleared 2.00m, and 2.02m, to take the title for Ukraine. Maryn Bek Romanchuk took the silver in the women’s
TJ to give Ukraine a second medal.
