Hannah England, World Championship silver medalist at the 1,500m, will not be running at the UK Athletics Aviva Trials. England sustained an achilles injury when she was spiked at the FBK Hengelo Meeting last month. She is recovering well, but will not race until the Aviva London GP in mid August.
Chris Thompson, the European silver medalist at 10,000m, will not be running in the AVIVA Trials due to a back injury. Thompson trains in Eugene, Oregon with the Nike Oregon Track Club.
