world leading 1500 m by world finalist Abdelaati Iguider of Morocco who
clocked 3:37.40. Second Kenyan Bethel Birgen 3:38.01 and third young
Ethiopian Jana Soresa Fida in 3:39.74. German sensation of the day
Julian Reus who clocked 6.59 in the 60 meters race. In the hurdles
sprints Helge Schwarzer posted high quality 7.64 at 60m Hurdles. Raphael
Holdzeppe of Germany cleared 572 but was beaten on count back with
Malte Mohr who also jumped 572 cm. Reese Hoffa posted to a world
leading mark in the shot put with 21.87 in last attempt. He beat high
quality field of David Storl (20.75) and Portugal s Marco Fortes
(20.57). In the pole vault Czech Daegu finalist Jan Kudlicka was third
with 560 cm. US Yvette Lewis clocked 8.01 in the 60m hurdles,

Spank satisfied
DRESDEN (GER, Jan 27): The administrators of first year related
university students saw here an a win for Raul Spank 226 after returning
from leg injury. In women pole vault Czech Daegu finalist Jirina
Ptacnikova cleared winning 462 in third attempt. She had tries at 466

ZAPORIZHIYA (UKR, Jan 27): During first day of Ukrainian Cup indoor meet
Mariya Ryemyen clocked 7.17 at the 60 m and beat main home rival Olesya
Povh 7.19. In the pentathlon Hanan Melnychenko scored 4513 points.
Denis Yurchenko cleared 550 in the pole vault. Fast 1500 m in the women
section. Anzhelika Sevchenko achieved 4:08.30 and Svitlana Shmidt
4:08.93.
