2024 Fall Cross Country Training & Racing Program, November 18, 2024, Week 10, Day 1, Monday is an easy day, one workout at a time.

For over a decade, Walt Murphy, Publisher of Eastern Track & XC XPress has worked with American Track & Field to do the Cross Country Annual, one of my favorite issues of the year. The calendar, which goes from September 2011 to March 2012, gives you, we believe, the best single source for cross country in high school, college, club and global events. We have also added, thanks to support from Nike, a daily news section for cross country from around the world and photo galleries.
Walt Murphy is the guy who makes Ato Boldon and crowd at NBC look good. He provides all of the track stats for the NBC crew as he has for over thirty years. A true fan of the sport, and his labor of love is this calendar and his other projects. Use it, pass it around, link to it, the more who use it will make him happy.
Cross Country will be done in print and digital forms this year. We wanted to get the calendar out to you. Enjoy!

Larry Eder has had a 52-year involvement in the sport of athletics. Larry has experienced the sport as an athlete, coach, magazine publisher, and now, journalist and blogger. His first article, on Don Bowden, America's first sub-4 minute miler, was published in RW in 1983. Larry has published several magazines on athletics, from American Athletics to the U.S. version of Spikes magazine. He currently manages the content and marketing development of the RunningNetwork, The Shoe Addicts, and RunBlogRun. Of RunBlogRun, his daily pilgrimage with the sport, Larry says: "I have to admit, I love traveling to far away meets, writing about the sport I love, and the athletes I respect, for my readers at runblogrun.com, the most of anything I have ever done, except, maybe running itself."
