Teddy Tamgho, the WR Indoors for TJ, will be considering the long jump for 2011. In a recent interview, Tamgho will determine if he can jump 8.30-8.40m, which he sees as a medal winner in the TJ. The TJ is highly competitive  and has been such over the past decade.

Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium as the 19th Commonwealth Games ended in spectacular
fashion – although it was perhaps an eight-minute segment from the next

that stole the show. The Glasgow 2014 offering, which combined elements of
traditional Scottish heritage, the beauty of rural Scottish life and the more
modern, urban and dynamic cityscape in Glasgow,
bought the rapturous crowd to their feet, such was popularity of the innovative
display. The modern take on a proud Scottish heritage was highly visible in the
form of tartan, kilts, bagpipes and the Loch Ness monster, all of whom made an
appearance in the mass-choreographed piece. It was Prince Charles who had
opened the 11-day competition in the Indian capital but it was actually Prince
Edward, The Earl of Wessex and vice-patron of the Commonwealth Games

at Commonwealth Games. This is case is bad for Nigeria as the country will lose
two medals. Sade Abugan initially won silver in the 400 m and ran in the silver
4×400 m relay. She tested positive for a steroid. Nigerian officials at the
Commonwealth Games said they were investigating the spate of doping findings.

that he will try in future also the long jump. That is happening after
trainings with his new coach the long jump legend Ivan Pedroso. Tamgho thinks

will start as favourite not only to defend his title but win the IAAF World
Haslf Marathon Championship gold medal for a fifth time in Nanning on Saturday.
The 28-year-old Eritrean will line-up in China bolstered by the fact that apart
from being the undisputed global kingpin of half marathon running he also set a
world record of 58 minutes 23 seconds in Lisbon last March. “First and foremost
I will try to win. It is never easy. It is always difficult with some of the
best athletes in the world in the field. Everybody is going to run for the win.
But I will try. First I will try to win, then maybe I’ll try for the World
record. That’s difficult to say now,” said Tadese as David Martin informs. The
former World Cross Country champion who will enjoy the temperatures of between
20-25 degrees centigrade, added: “It will be quite hot and humid, but it will
be hot and humid for everybody, so I’m not worried about that.” Florence
Kiplagat who produced a time of one hour seven minutes and 40 seconds to win in
Lille will

Lebedeva said for Russian media she will not compete during the coming indoor
season. She also said her main goal for 2011 is Daegu but even bigger target is
London 2012. “I just finished my sessions at Academy for Diplomats and I m
preparing my thesis work. I will train and plan to go to camp in Portugal. I
want to deal with my studies and work in the Volgograd Region Duma,” she said.

ATHENS (GRE): Another olympic triple jump
medalist Hrysopyi Devetzi is not ending her career. She wants to start with her
training for 2011. “I will try,” she said. But if the level will not be
previous standards she will quit her career.

(SRB): Serbian Athletics Federation confirmed its intentions to bid to stage
European Indoor Championships in 2015. That happened during a meeting of

and then finished fourth in the 5000m, will quickly switch from the track to a 10 mile appearance at the

to be merged into one unified body after the London 2012 Olympics, it was
officially announced by the Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt today. The aim is to
create a more unified, coherent and cost-effective structure as part of the

(GBR): A final agreement has been signed by the University of East London
and the United States Olympic Committee, who want to locate over 1000 athletes
in the Universities training facilities. In preparation of the 2012 Olympic
Games the United States Olympic Team will use the venue for athlete training,

media are informing that olympic 1500
m medalists Nick Willis who is now injury free and able
to train fully for the first time in three years has half an eye on a move to
5000m. After picking up a Commonwealth Games bronze in the 1500m final last
night, Willis told NZPA he intended to “dip my toes” into the 5000m, but did
not plan to move up in distance until after the 2012 London Olympics.

LAUSANNE (SUI): European 800 m Marcin Lewandowski in
an interview published by European Athletics said that his coach is considering
not doing any 800 m
races early next year and just focusing on the 400 m. “With a view to what I
could then do at the Olympic Games in London, and even in Rio de Janeiro.
However, I’ll definitely do the 800m at the World Championships in Daegu, but,
at the beginning of the season, I will focus on developing speed,” Lewandowski
was quoted. He also confirmed he will train again in Kenya: “This year, I’ll be in the
same area as before but this time I will not stay in the house of Wilfred
Bungei. It is true that he once again has invited me to stay but I do not want
to impose upon him. He has his family and his other responsibilities but I am
very grateful to him. We’ll train together but I’ll stay somewhere else.

(GBR): Two-thirds of tickets for the sports at the the London 2012 Olympics will be priced at less
than £50 the most expensive being £725 for high-demand events like the 100 metres. Ticket
prices for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies range from £20.12 to £2,102 for
the Opening and £1,500 for the Closing. An extra 800,000 tickets are also being
made available, taking the total to 8.8 million when they go on sale to the

Dechase Chala with 2:06:33 best. Kenyan Jackson Kotut is another name to watch
along with strong half-marathon runner Wilson Chebet. Ethiopian Robe Guta with 2:24:36
is the top female name.

GEONGJU (KOR): European
marathon leader 2010 Iaroslav Musinschi of Moldova is the top name for the
Geongju International Marathon. He clocked in May in Dusseldorf the top continental mark and
national record 2:08:32. More top names are former Kosice
winner Dejene Yirdawe of Ethiopia
and veteran Jimmy Muindi of Kenya.

ISTANBUL (TUR): Title defenders from Ethiopia
Adilo Roba and Bizunesh Urgesa will run also on Sunday at 32nd Istanbul Eurasia
Marathon. The winner of the 2010 World Cross Country Championships Emily Chebet
from Kenya
will run in the 15km race. More solid Kenyan and Ethiopian names will compete.
