Here is the photo gallery for the Belgcom Ivo Van Damme Memorial, held in Brussels on August 27, 2010. Even with a less than normal start, Tyson Gay ran a superb 9.79 to take the win!
Also running well was Leonel Manzano, who ran 3:32.37, to take the 3:33.01 of one Jim Ryun, from 1967, off the US top ten list. Note that Leonel, when he finished third in the Emsley Carr Mile on August 14, at AVIVA London, ran 3:50.34, which took Jim Ryun’s 1967 WR of 3:51.1 off the US top ten list!
Lisa Galaviz, one of the top U.S. steeplers for nearly a decade now, ran a fine 9:24.83, her personal best, in the steeple in Brussels! Lisa has raced all over the world this year in the steeple!
Special thanks to Chuck Bartlett, the RN webmaster, who produces the RN photo galleries! And as always, thanks to PhotoRun.net and the athletes who inspire us!
