Anzhelika Siderova is one of the most amazing women pole vaulters in the world. She won the gold in the Doha World Championships 2019 and silver in the Tokyo Olympics 2021 ! I observed her competing in Madrid during the World Indoor circuit and was fascinated by communication between Anzhelika and her coach. Siderova is a tough competitor.
In Tokyo, the battle between Siderova and Nageotte was spectacular. It was a spine tingling competition and we will see many of them, we hope in the future! The women’s pole vault, globally, is chock full of amazing athletes and will keep this event exciting for years to come.
