Topic: Salute to Brendan Foster

In 1976, Brendan Foster, after a week of dealing with stomach illness, took third, and the only track medal achieved by a British Athlete, in the hotly contested 10,000m, won by Lasse Viren who battled Carles Lopes. Brendan would go on to found the Great North Run, and the Great Run Company, and a four decade career as a superb TV sports commentator for BBC. On top of that, Brendan saved Athletics Weekly magazine, by allowing the magazine’s team to build a presence both in print and digitally.
In this Convo with Larry we salute this amazing man of British Athletics.
