Skechers GoRun Forza 3
2018 seems to be the year for dramatic makeovers for Skechers, with the Forza 3 being the latest recipient. The obvious difference in appearance though, is backed up by significant improvement in performance. The upper adopts a closed mesh overall but two different meshes in total. The forefoot and lateral side of the shoe have a mesh with raised ribs that wick moisture away from the foot, while the underlying layer features a reflective pattern that improves low light visibility of the shoe. The medial side and heel of the shoe has a stiffer mesh, for support, welded at the first metatarsal and lateral heel and a different reflective pattern, giving the shoe great overall visibility. A little stretch, conforming fit, and smooth interior add to the comfort. The midsole has been reshaped with a combination rocker/full-contact design that rolls well with the foot, while lending good stability to the ride. The Flight Gen foam offers great comfort underfoot to round out the package, and a polyurethane Strobel board adds another layer of cushion to the shoe. The outersole is a thin layer of full-length carbon rubber that is durable and affords good traction as well. The result is quite possibly Skechers’ most versatile shoe.
Testers: “Each round has been better than before. Stable, responsive, well cushioned, but round three really rolls, a major improvement. In two words: Love them!”
