2018 Chicago Marathon Diary: Amy Cragg pulls out of Chicago Marathon

CHICAGO (USA): World marathon bronze medallist Amy Cragg has pulled out of the Chicago Marathon next month. Organisers said: “Amy Cragg notified race organizers she will no longer be running in the October 7th race. After overcoming a setback early in her training, Amy felt she wouldn’t be 100% on race day.”

Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow! It was a painful finish but definitely worth it yesterday! Took seven years but I finally broke my debut marathon time! I am incredibly grateful to the Tokyo Marathon for putting on such a wonderful event and to the people of Japan for cheering the entire 26.2 Miles. Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me along this journey and for believing in me even when I had a hard time believing in myself.
