Another world best in Kazan: Samitova-Galkina 9:08.22
KAZAN (RUS, July 18): After great 800 m for women another world leading mark during second day of Russian Championships. World record holder Gulnara Samitova-Galkina clocked 9:08.22 in women steeple. It is third fastest time ever, only herself with the world record (9:01.59 in 2004) and Yekaterina Volkova at last years World Championships achieved 9:06.57.
Tatyana Petrova was second with 9:15.84 and also qualified for the Games. Volkova as world champion gets the third spot, she was allowed not to compete in Kazan. Third Yelena Sidorchenkova got 9:24.04 PB.
