BOSTON (USA): Desiree Linden believes USA could end the 33-year-long spell without a women’s winner at the Boston Marathon next month. The historic race on 16 April will feature four of the fastest American women in history in Deena Kastor, Jordan Hasay, Shalane Flanagan and Linden, plus Molly Huddle. “Everyone’s looking at this field of American women and I think people are really excited about our chances,” Linden told Boston.com. “So [my goal] is to compete up front and hopefully have that battle on Boylston again. And have a different outcome this time, for sure.”
