Good morning from Frankfurt. Here’s an Instagram video i did 90 minutes before the race as elite athletes, pacemakers and media headed to the start! The weather is windy, about 47 degrees and the roads are slick. Runners will have to be very careful in the conditions. Watch our live social media coverage of the event!
One more thing! I messed up on runner who I was told would win! Mark Lokwanamoi, whom Justin Lagat reviewed in 2016 after his run at the Nairobi marathon, is in Frankfurt, and he wants to win!
