CHICAGO (USA): Tirunesh Dibaba, who will run the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on Sunday, is in similar shape to when she ran 2:17:56 at this year’s London Marathon, according to her agent, Mark Wetmore, Letsrun.com reports.

RunBlogRun opines: Tirunesh Dibaba is a most amazing talent. Her track times are one thing, but it is her race pedigree that sets her apart. Watching her difficult battles on the track showed a women who did not like to loose and an athlete possessed of a very potent kick. Her two marathons have shown just a bit of the talent that this women has. This race on Sunday, in rain and or humidty, may not be a 2:17 race, but it should be a race where the race prowess of Tirunesh Dibaba comes out.
