CHICAGO (USA): The top American hopes for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, Galen Rupp and Jordan Hasay, both say they have enjoyed their best-ever build-ups for a 26-mile race. Rupp told Letsrun.com: “This is the best prepared for the marathon I’ve ever been.”
RunBlogRun opines: The race on Sunday could be humid and rainy, or just plain humid. This suggests a modest early pace and a strong finish. Both Rupp and Hasay are built for such conditions. Should be fascinating to see how these two fare on Sunday. My take is that Rupp could win the whole enchilada, and Hasay looks like numero 2 and a nice PB.
