Eliud Kipchoge won the London Marathon in masterful style. Kipchoge is the most dominating marathoner of his generation. What I particularly enjoy about Mr. Kipchoge is that he is old school: cross country, track & field and road racing. Winning the World Champs 5000 meters at the age of 18 from Hicham El Guerrouj and Kenennisa Bekele, and then, at the age of 30, Eliud wins the Rio Olympic marathon! A great role model for Kenyan athletics and for our sport.

Jemima Sumgong won London after a scary fall during the race. In the hot and humid confines of Rio, Jemima Sumgong showed just how good she is! A better interview each time she speaks to reporters, Jemima loves the sport and is a fearless competitor. Again, a worthy role model for women athletes in Kenya.
Special thanks to Andy Edwards and Joerg Wenig of Race News Service for their coverage of the BMR and Athens Marathon!
