Galen Rupp showed his supremacy at this event with his fine win, in 27:55.04. Shadrack Kipkirchir, of the US Army, took second in 28:01.52, all six of those seconds of separation came during the final 200 meters, and Leonard Korir, who ran 28:16.97 for third.
