US FRIDAY RESULTS (Feb 28)
AMES: In prelims solid times at the Big 12 champs. Trayvon Brommell 6.67 in the 60 m, Zack Bilderbach 46.72 in the 400 m and on the women side 8.10 at 60 m hurdles by Le´Tristan Pledger 8.10. Lorraine Ugen of Great Britain won the long jump 659.
KENT: Canadian record holder Shawn Barber won the pole vault with 555 at the Mid-American Conference Championships. Wayne Gordon clocked 20.95 in the 200 m prelims at the oversized track here.
CLEMSON: Dentarius Locke showed the top time 6.62 in the 60 m heats at the ACC Champs. Curtis Beach scored 5987 points in heptathlon.
SEATTLE: Kenyan Lawi Lalang won the 5000 m at the MPSF Champs 13:41.58. Milan Ristic clocked in heats of 60 m hurdles new Serbian record 7.69. Ryan Milus was fastest in 60 m heats 6.65.
GENEVA: Reed Connor won the 3000 m at the Big Ten Championships in good 7:51.78 ahead of John Simons 7:52.62. For both personal best.
NEW YORK: Corey Crawford who had pre-December 2013 best of 763 improved at the American Conference Championships to huge 822 cm in the long jump. It is third best in the world this year together with Tyron Stewart, another US long jumper. Second French Guillaume Victorin who was bronze medalist at European U23 Championships in 2011 improved to overall PB 791 cm. Nigerian Stephanie Kalu improved in women 60 m heats to 7.28.
BIRMINGHAM: Trey Hadnot posted good 20.89 in the 200 m heats at the Conference USA Championships.
NASHVILLE: Amber Hughes improved to 7.68 at 55 m hurdles in women heats at the Ohio Valley Championships. It is second best mark in the World this year.
