Tom Fleming was a NYC running fixture. His runs in New York and Boston were masterful. He gave his all in his ocmpetitions, and when he went into coaching, his athletes loved him and could feel his interest.
His 140 mile weeks, his gutty racing against the very best of his day, made him a living legend. It was sad that he was taken from us so early. Tom Fleming is a part of the New York City Marathon’s 50th because he put so much into the race, for so many years.
