Skechers Performance sponsors the Chevron Houston Marathon and the City of Los Angeles Marathon. At Houston, Skechers Performance is providing a limited edition GoRun6. Like the colors and the look!
The Skechers Performance GoRun6 Houston Marathon Limited Edition
The 40,000 runners involved in the 5k, Half Marathon and Marathon in Houston have come to expect a fun weekend of activities. The Houston Marathon committee and their sponsors provide them with activities Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
How do sponsors make a deeper relationship with events? Sponsors like Skechers Performance have to make their team, their ambassadors and their product tie ins work a bit harder than brands that are more well established. What is nice about Skechers Performance is that they do not take this business for granted. Last year, they had a very fun and well used Message board around much of their booth. Their use of a graffiti artist added to the use of the message boards, and the activation with runners and their families was impressive.
The hype around the fields, especially in the half marathon will keep media involved and bring up the value of the event. It is one of the ways that the 2018 Chevron Houston Marathon will begin the season of 2018.
Skechers Performance uses their ambassadors (Meb Keflezighi, Kara Goucher, and now Ed Cheserek) well, tying them into their major events and reaching out with social media.
The new GoRun6 will be available at the Skechers Performance booth at the Chevron Houston Marathon as a limited edition. Don’t miss it!
