LONDON (GBR): European 200m champion Dina Asher-Smith is aiming to return to the track in time for the Muller Anniversary Games in London on 9 July ahead of the World Championships, informs British Athletics. “I want to do well at the IAAF World Championships and the Müller Anniversary Games is a key part of my preparations this year. I will face the best athletes in the world in my final race in the Olympic Stadium before heading into the holding camp,” she said. Asher-Smith is currently out of action and on crutches after breaking a bone in her foot in a freak training accident earlier this month. “I can’t be too angry, accidents happen. I’ve done it with enough time to make a full recovery and get some training before the outdoor season. It is a better time to happen than May.”
